Start with the season
Victoria can bring sunshine, rain and cool evenings into the same trip. Pack layers, check the forecast for every region on your route and leave room to change plans. A warm van makes a winter escape inviting, but road access and campsite conditions still matter.
Keep your first day simple
Allow time for handover, a supermarket stop and an easy first drive. Book your first campsite before pickup, arrive while it is light and learn the water, power and bathroom systems. Save the long-distance driving for another day.
Real comforts, practical limits
Delfín, Ballena and Tortuga have a private indoor shower and fixed flushing toilet. You still need to manage fresh water, grey water and toilet waste, and use authorised disposal points. Diesel heating works off-grid, while mains appliances need an appropriate powered connection.
Keep essentials available offline
Download route information before leaving reliable reception. Save your booking, campsite confirmations, emergency contacts and Camplify assistance instructions. Tell someone your planned route when travelling further from towns.
Budget for the journey
Allow for fuel, campsites, food, tolls, park permits and attractions as well as the hire quote. Camplify shows the booking total and selected cover options before you commit. RentMeRV pricing includes GST.
